Quantum Computer at AI Impact Summit ⚡️
I recently got an up-close look at a Quantum Computer at the AI Impact Summit, and let me tell you, these things are absolute beasts. To even function, they have to be cooled down to nearly -300°C—that’s colder than deep space! 🌌
But beyond the cool tech, there’s a massive conversation happening about Shor’s Algorithm and its potential to crack the ECDSA encryption that secures your BTC private keys.
The Lowdown:
The Threat: In theory, a powerful enough quantum computer could derive a private key from a public key in minutes.
The Reality: We aren’t there yet. Current quantum computers (like the one I saw) don’t have enough “stable qubits” to break Bitcoin’s 256-bit encryption… yet.
The Solution: Developers are already working on Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) to make blockchain “quantum-resistant” before the threat becomes real.

The “Quantum Threat” is a race between the hackers and the builders. Who do you think wins? 👇
